What will happen to the T-Mobile and Sprint brands?
Both brands will continue to exist and over time everything will evolve to T-Mobile. Beginning August 2, both companies will begin unifying under the T-Mobile brand for the first time. While T-Mobile will emerge as the combined companies' flagship brand in retail, web and advertising, Sprint customers will experience a slower transition, seeing the brands represented as a combined company in their direct communications and on the website when doing Sprint account maintenance. Account maintenance and management will not change for Sprint customers at this time!

As T-Mobile emerges as the newly combined company's flagship brand in retail, the majority of Sprint stores have been updated with T-Mobile branding and a fresh coat of magenta paint, and most T-Mobile branded stores can serve both Sprint and T-Mobile customers.

With a few exceptions, our stores and store employees can now serve Sprint and T-Mobile customers. Sprint and T-Mobile customers can walk in and the employees will be able to say, “Yes, we can help you!”

  • National retail stores like Best Buy and a small subset of retail stores in rural areas will continue to serve Sprint customers only.

I just upgraded my Sprint devices. Will they be compatible with T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile?

Today every device works the same as it has on the network it’s currently using. For now, customers will use two distinct networks, Sprint and T-Mobile, and Sprint customers now receive extended roaming capabilities on the T-Mobile network.

Can I still activate on a Sprint rate plan?
As we work to build an amazing combined network, Sprint plans are being gradually phased out. We recommend you activate on one of our T-Mobile Magenta plans and get access to all the great features and benefits of T-Mobile. What’s exciting about 5G?

Will there be new devices available to T-Mobile customers after the merger deal closes?
Sprint and T-Mobile will continue to launch new devices as they become available from the manufacturers. At this time, Sprint and T-Mobile will continue to offer separate devices that work on each network. We are working toward a unified device portfolio in the future.
Am I able to keep Netflix on Us, T-Mobile Tuesdays, and other Un-carrier benefits I currently take advantage of?
Yes! T-Mobile rate plans will remain as they are for now. We’re working on exciting new benefits in the future, stay tuned!
Can I get Sprint benefits like Hulu now?
Rate plans that include Hulu are currently unavailable in the T-Mobile systems. We have great benefits like Netflix on Us included in our magenta plans. One of our mobile experts can help you find a T-Mobile plan that works best for you.

Will T-Mobile offer new plans, features or changes to Prepaid customers?
Yes! We’re delivering on one of the promises we made to bring 5G for Good. T-Mobile Connect is our lowest priced plan ever!
  • T-Mobile Connect is a new T-Mobile prepaid offering, that makes wireless more accessible and affordable for everyone. With T-Mobile Connect, customers can choose from either a $15 plus tax unlimited talk & text Prepaid plan with 2GB of smartphone data monthly or a $25 plus tax unlimited talk and text Prepaid plan with 5GB of smartphone data monthly.
  • The limits these plans will increase by an additional 500MB of monthly data annually on the anniversary of the launch of the plans, for a total of 5 years, while the price stays the same.
Will current customers pay more?

Can I pay my bill, add a line or upgrade a device in either a T-Mobile or Sprint store?
The majority of Sprint stores have been updated with T-Mobile brand, and T-Mobile branded stores can serve both Sprint and T-Mobile customers. T-Mobile small business customers can serviced in T-Mobile stores. Additionally, all customers can be serviced by their Team of Experts or account representative, or online at T-Mobile/business.com. Sprint business customers can transact in T-Mobile Retail stores, online at Sprint.com, through Sprint customer care or their account representative.
What will happen with Sprint and T-Mobile retail locations?

Will I receive two bills and, if so, can I make one payment?
Until we integrate our billing systems, each customer will continue to receive either a Sprint or T-Mobile invoice. If you already have service with both Sprint and T-Mobile, you will continue to receive two separate invoices until the billing systems are combined.
How will this merger affect Sprint Indirect Business Partners?
We value our relationships with our Indirect Business Partners. We will be reaching out to each of them individually to discuss the many new and exciting opportunities ahead of us all with T-Mobile.
Will I get access to the other carrier’s network now that you’re combined?

I just upgraded my Sprint devices. Will they be compatible with T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile?

I need a new device. Should I get one on my Sprint account, or just activate on a new T-Mobile account?

As a Sprint customer, there’s no need to move to T-Mobile, you can activate your new device and new line on your Sprint account and keep the same rate plan.

Now that Sprint and T-Mobile are one company, do I get the same Un-carrier benefits as T-Mobile customers, like Netflix?

Rate plans that include Netflix are not currently available in the Sprint systems. If you wanted to move your account over to T-Mobile, you should work with a Retail Mobile expert to see if that option is available for you. If we are able to move you over, you will choose from T-Mobile available rate plans.

If I move from Sprint to T-Mobile, does this still count as a new line for T-Mobile offers now that the merger is complete?

No, as of 8/2 Sprint and T-Mobile are operating as one company so a move won’t constitute a new account. But, we have great offers available for all our customers whether you’re looking for a new rate plan or a new device. One of our Mobile Experts can help you explore which options are best for you.

If I move from Sprint to T-Mobile, can I transfer my device financing now that the merger is complete?

No, not at this time. You will have to have satisfied all your financial obligations on your devices along with some additional eligibility and compatibility if you want to move your whole account over to T-Mobile. One of our Mobile Experts can help you understand the requirements.

Am I able to keep Hulu, Tidal, and other Sprint benefits I currently take advantage of on my existing plan?

What if I want to change my rate plan? Can I still do that on my Sprint account?

Yes, as a Sprint customer, we still continue to offer the Unlimited Basic, Plus or Premium rate plans. Or, we also recently launched the Sprint Essentials rate plan, available to Sprint customers.

Can I still add a new line to my Sprint account?

Yes, customers with existing Sprint accounts can add lines.

If I move to T-Mobile now, will my Sprint tenure carry over?

Right now, if you are happy with your Sprint service, there is no reason for you to make any changes to your account. You will stay with the same Sprint network and service you’ve been using. If you wanted to move your account over to T-Mobile, you should work with a Retail Mobile expert to see if that option is available for you. If we are able to move you over, yes your tenure would carry over.

Now that Sprint and T-Mobile are one company, can I take advantage of T-Mobile offers/promotions?

At this time, Sprint and T-Mobile devices work on separate networks. We will continue to provide device promotions and service offers for both Sprint and T-Mobile customers that will be similar but may vary slightly.

Will T-Mobile raise its prices?
T-Mobile has committed to delivering the same or better rate plans for at least three years—that includes access to 5G. Your whole family can talk, text, and surf on their smartphones without worrying about what they’ll pay.

At what point will I be forced to move to a T-Mobile plan?

For now, customers will use two distinct networks, Sprint and T-Mobile.

Both Sprint and T-Mobile customers will continue to get great coverage, and over time the two networks will combine to create one supercharged network. Meanwhile, we’re working on ways to make it easy to migrate Sprint customers who wish to do so. Sprint customers now receive extended roaming capabilities on T-Mobile. The network coverage map on Sprint.com will show the Sprint coverage in your area.

What will happen with Sprint and T-Mobile networks? How will the coverage change?
Strong, dependable network connectivity has never been more critical to customers or the country. As the two networks are combined, T-Mobile will deliver:
  • Massive Capacity! 14times more capacity in the next six years than T-Mobile alone—which means it will be even better for streaming, gaming, downloading and more.
  • Crazy-fast speed! Customers will have access to average 5G speeds up to eight times faster than current LTE in just a few years and 15 times faster over the next six years.
  • Reaching nearly everyone! Within six years, T-Mobile will provide 5G to 99% of the U.S. population, including rural America.
  • Our goal is to create the best network for ALL.
What will happen with Sprint and T-Mobile retail stores?
The majority of Sprint stores have been updated with T-Mobile branding and a fresh coat of magenta paint, and most T-Mobile branded stores can serve both Sprint and T-Mobile customers.

With a few exceptions, our stores and store employees can now serve Sprint and T-Mobile customers. In these stores, Sprint and T-Mobile customers can walk in and the employees will be able to say, “Yes, we can help you!”

What happens to my Sprint bill? Will I now have one bill for both providers?
You will continue to receive one bill but over time may see updated branding.
Will I still be able to sign into my account on Sprint.com?
Yes, you can still sign in to your MySprint dashboard (Web or App) at www.sprint.com/mysprint. From T-Mobile.com, when you click My Account, you’ll be prompted to enter your Sprint login credentials, and then you’ll be redirected to the MySprint dashboard.
Can I get my Sprint phone to work for Metro by T-Mobile?

I just upgraded my Sprint devices. Will they be compatible with T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile?
Today every device works the same as it has on the network it’s currently using. For now, customers will use two distinct networks, Sprint and T-Mobile, and Sprint customers now receive extended roaming capabilities on the T-Mobile network.

Many newer Sprint devices will be compatible with elements of the T-Mobile network. To use the T-Mobile network, these devices will need to be migrated over. Currently, if you wish to do this, you will need to pay off your devices and move your account to T-Mobile.
