FUN SUPER BOWL GAMES: Football Bingo

I have to admit, and if you know me you already know this, I usually watch football games for the food, friends and fun. I don’t know a ton about the game, I tend to cheer for the team that will end up losing and I ask a lot of questions that drive people crazy.

I decided that this year I would create a fun little Football Bingo game to play during the game to keep me a little more entertained! I’m so excited to play during the Super Bowl this year, we’re having lots of people over so it should be fun! I love the idea of starting a new tradition during the big game with some fun Super Bowl Party Games!

HOW TO PLAY SUPER BOWL FOOTBALL BINGO

Here are a few rules and tips on how to play Football Bingo – make sure to clarify everything with your guests before you start the game! I grabbed a bag of M&M’s to use as the bingo markers!

You can ONLY cover squares when you see or hear things said during the game – not commercials or halftime!

Play is simple. Give everyone bingo markers or stampers like these and have them cover squares when they see or hear those items during the game. When someone gets five across – horizontal, vertical, or diagonal – they win a prize. Easy Peasy!

PRIZE IDEAS FOR SUPER BOWL GAMES

Since it’s bingo AND the Super Bowl, you can go a little more expensive on the prize. I’ve put down a handful of ideas that would be great bingo prizes, ranging from more expensive to not so expensive.

Now matter who you think will win Super Bowl 50, this free printable Super Bowl BINGO is a super fun way for little ones to follow the game! Toddlers and preschoolers don’t have the longest attention span, so this game is perfect for for them to play it once, switch boards, and then play again!

And the best thing about this BINGO is that there are 6 boards to choose from. We are a family of 5, so sets of four never work for us.

Preschool Super Bowl BINGO

Just print the printable BINGO game before kick-off time and play! The BINGO game is really that easy to get ready.

Print the game boards on cardstock, or even just printer paper if you don’t plan on keeping the game around very long. I’m all into laminating, so I’ll be laminating my set with this laminator. We will probably use my set in my classroom and cut up one of the boards to use to flip and cover like the classic BINGO game.

Here’s how to play:

First, choose a marker for the BINGO squares. Coins are a fun choice because of the coin toss at the beginning of the game. Any kind of stones, trinkets, small toys, candies, or beads would work too!

The boards are filled with simple football images and symbols. The 1 and 18 are for the quarterbacks on each team. The B is for Broncos and the P is for Panthers.These should be easily visible throughout the game!

Each time your preschooler or toddler see one of the items on his BINGO card, mark all the cards that are involved in the game.

When 3 in a row are marked off, say “BINGO!”
